I know how to setup the Split Point in Pa4X by setting it in Split point Tab in Style Mode and then Global > Lock Split Point and save it in My Settings.
I tried the same procedure in Pa700, to put the Split Point on G3 but it's not working because every time I change a KBD Set it switches back to C4.

Any help would be appreciated.

Its ifs and buts.

Factory Styles are all locked by default so any change is only temporary.

Save the Style to a User Bank location of save a Style as a Songbook entry.

Save a Style to within the user bank and the split point is saved with it.

If a Style is saved within the Songbook as a Song then all the settings split point, set lists, variations etc are saved with it within the Songbook.

So a Style saved with save a G3 split point in Songbook then the very same Style will have a C4 split point in Style mode unless it is a Style in the User bank.

Confusing it can be.

The 700 is really based around using the Songbook, I would have thought that the 4X would be similar especially with Ozimo

Some of the keyboard sets use full mode and some use split mode

@Biggles,
Thanks for your reply.

I don't know how different the pa700 and Pa4X are but if I understood well
we can set the Split Point in Global and save in My Setting (this is how I did in Pa4X) and we are done,
what ever the Factory Style, User style, etc.... i never used the SongBook.
This is how I did in my Pa4X 2 years ago and never changed since.
Thanks anyway for your suggestion.

Songbook is one of the greatest features of the PA series.

Once you set up and saved a song the Style, keyboard sets, splits, Fx in fact everything is saved with it.

To play the Song, it can be called up with only a couple of presses, or less if the Song is saved into a Setlist.

These features make it way easier and quickerand are well worth learning

I know the features of the SongBook very well but for what I am doing It is not unfortunately suitable for my heavy live performances every week but it could be a good option for other performers.

Thats is interesting and I would certainly be interested in knowing more

Can you please describe your workflow during your heavy line performances?

Spit Point QUESTION. PA700-PA1000. Having set my preferred Split Point in GLOBEL.

I always use the same split point. Now selecting SONG BOOK for loading a song my split point should still as I set in Globel or am I wrong ?.
Can't go through every song to change my preferred split point.

Changing the Split point in Global will change it until:-

1 - You install a Korg update and that resets the split point

2 - A Songbook entry has a different Split point

Biggles. ( - A Songbook entry has a different Split point)

Surely a GLOBEL split point should over ride the songbook entry ?. Otherwise it would take hours to change all the songbook entry's.

I'm assuming then that Songbook split points can be reset overall with just one edit.

No, my Global is one position but in certain Songs like Stranger on the Shore which has a bass note lower than my Global Split point hence the Split point set in the Song takes preference over Global.
