|
|
1.does anyone MIDI out the separate tracks of a style into a DAW that accepts MIDI in
and edits each track ( effects pan etc ) separately from the PA4x or PA3x?
2. which DAW do you use?
Garagaband will record the entire style but each track ( accompaniments )
are all on one GB track.
3. Im trying to have the drums percussion bass accompaniments fall on separate midi tracks...
has anyone done this or do they mix volumes etc right from the PA4x?
thanks

dont know why reply is posted 2 times, and Im only allowed to edit this but not the duplicate, When I am editing the first=this, the duplicate went away??
1. Yes
both by recording MIDI in realtime as well as importing MIDI generated by Pa4X imported to DAW
2.
I use Logic Pro X,
For the Mac OSX also Cubase and Pro Tools can do it. There are free light versions of the latter two, so you could try it.
3.
Yes, you can absolutely do that with those DAWs

Glen,
When I read your PM, I thought you were talking about Audio tracks. That's why I said you can't record individual tracks unless you solo select tracks and do multiple takes.
If you meant Midi, then yes. You can either:
1) Use the onboard sequencer to record the file, and then just import that into your DAW of choice. With midi, every instrument will be on a separate track.
or
2) Set up your DAW to receive midi from your keyboard in real time.
Now, if you want to record the output of each track as Audio, that you can't do in one take. _________________ Sam
