TR-Rack Multi Mode

Post by tuner »

I have a problem. When using the TR-Rack in Multi Mode, all of the sounds seem to be in mono like the pianos and pads. If I switch to Program Mode the pianos and pads playback in stereo. This can't be right. I don't believe that its just a matter of not having the FX applied to the instrument.

Hi Tuner,

I don't have TR-Rack, but Multi sounds like it's the same as Combi mode on Trinity. If it is, then somewhere in Multi mode will be a pan-pot for each Program.

The panpot does not just have Left-C-Right values... it will start at OFF (effectively muting the channel), then it will go through L000 to L063, then C064, then R065 to R127, followed by PROG at the extreme right.

To mimic the settings for any given Program (overriding the Multi's panpot setting), select PROG for that particular panpot in Multi.

Is it possible to change the Pan setting via MIDI? I'm using Cubase and can change Programs/Patches but changing pan seems to have no effect.
