Is it possible to save the function assigned to switches 1, 2 and 3 in a way that these functions are kept in memory, even after the keyboard is turned off, so you can always find these assigned functions next time you start the PA 1000. Thanks

Hi J-Louis: The assignable switch settings isnt a Global Mode setting so isnt retained after the keyboard is powered down. The switch settings are instead one of the “Style”(Style Play) settings: Style Play>Menu> Pads/Switches, and loads whenever a Style is called up, or Indirectly when a Song (Style) in Songbook is selected. There’s also the option to lock (retain) the CURRENT keyboard ‘Switch’ SETTINGS throughout your keyboard playing session up until you power down the keyboard. This option is included in the Pads/Switches settings menu. Scott _________________ Korg PA1000; Yamaha Tyros 5; Korg microArranger |

ASSIGNABLE SWITCHES are part of Keyboard Set.
On boot (start up) Korg loading by default MY Setting Keyboard Set.
If you wanna your custom setting you need overwrite this.
To do this, set your switches, then long press My Setting button and follow screen . _________________ Nemik

Thanks Scott and Nemik for your replies. Changing "My Settings" overwrote the original one and solved my problem
It is great to share a forum with knowledgeable colleagues!

Nemik. thanks for pointing out the valuable tip.
I also just discovered this useful hint covered on page 839 of the Pa1000 User Manual:
Topic: Locking the Lower Control Parameters:
Global> General Controls> Lock> Control Page
When the 'Lower' Lock is closed, the Lower Sound remains unchanged when a different Keyboard Set or Style is selected.
This is useful if, for example, you prefer to only play chords with the left hand, while leaving the Sound in mute.
Hint: If you want the same Lower settings to be used during all your shows, save your preferred Lower settings to the MY SETTING Keyboard Set (automatically selected on startup), and the close this lock.
Sweet . . .
