first thank you all for your opinions on the PA5x..I will buy it when it is fixed!

is it possible with a midi controller MAUDIO61 via USB out to PA4x in
and then out of the Pa4x into my MAC USB port to play the Korg's sounds
using the MAUDIO ( to the KORG ) keyboard to send the midi data recording KORG AUDIO into Logic or Garagband at the same time?

I have audio outs from KORG PA4x into FOCUSRITE 8i18 interface.

I have my keyboards in stands away from my workstation but the MAUDIO is directly and conveniently in front of me at my workstation...

put another way...I have always just played the KORG and GENOS directly as audio into these DAWS. I would like to use the controller to do that for me. Please offer setting suggestions. I truly respect your experience with technical things and thank you very much again

Hopefully I have understood what you are trying to do.

You cannot send audio over midi.

If you ONLY want to use your midi controller to play the Pa4x, and only record the 'sounds' of the pa4X, you still need to route the audio outputs of the Pa4x to the DAW. The simplest midi setup is as shown on p895 (or alt. setup on p896) of the NEXT OS user manual. Complement the midi setup with audio cables routed through your interface.

Set your DAW to record in stereo, with each audio output on to separate tracks in the DAW.

The simplest thing would be to select the voices you want to use on the Pa4X itself. If you are working on a project, save the Pa4X setup as a song in the Korg Songbook for easy recall.

If you ALSO want to record the midi data (note values, velocity, and so on) things get more complicated. If you want to do this as well, advise and I will let others assist as it is beyond my expertise without playing around with different setups.

PS: you also need to set the midi channels on Pa4x - see pp897 and on in user manual.

please send me a link to the NEXT OS user manual
the page 895 in the user manual is not about midi.....

i am able to midi out data from the MAUDIO controller to the KORG and i know audio is not midi

but i also want to use the controller to use the software instruments
in LOGIC/GARAGEBAND my DAW

without changing cables
re routing
etc

im afraid i am going to need MIDI CABLES.......

i just want to be able to play/record sounds on the PA4x ( nothing more ) and send data to the software DAW ....
from the MAUDIO

i know the PA4x has to be set as the masterkeyboard for it to be heard

again appreciate your help
