|
|
Dear all,
I am writing on behalf of a friend who owns a PA1000 running under OS 1.01. After moving his keyboard to my place, he can't access the content of the USB key that came with it anylonger. He gets the following error message: "Warning: Unformatted device or unknown format. Use the internal Format command to initialize the device." Problem is he has no backup copy and the content can't be read on my MacBookAir either. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Best,
Marion |

Sounds like they removed the drive whilst it was being accessed by the keyboard.
For info, no drive either in a keyboard or a PC/Mac should ever be removed whilst the keyboard is switched on and in a computer it should always be Ejected.
There is recovery software like Recovra that may work, if one such as I quote does not work try another.
There is a lesson to be learned by all for your friends misfortune.
Good luck to them in a successful recovery of the data. _________________ Biggles
