|
|
Hi all. New to the forum. Just picked up the PA700 and a friend of mine sent me his styles/sounds that he uses on his PA3x. I am having troubles loading them onto my PA700. Any idea why this is happening? Some files load but you can obviously tell something is wrong. For example, the styles sound very corrupt. Any help is appreciated! |

Welcome to the forum and congratulations for your new instrument.
Loading styles and sounds from other PAs is not a simple thing to begin with.
The best case is when all the sounds used by the styles you are loading are in a Sound factory or legacy folders of your PA700 then you can still have it sound different from the original PA due to the effects.
But if sounds are missing, the PA tries to replace them with sounds of the same type if possible. You have to edit the style to replace the missing or wrong sounds.
Then you have the case with User Sounds: in styles, these are refered to by position in the user sounds folders so you can have another sound of nothing in that position in your keyboard. Again, you have to edit the style to fix it.
There are even more possible issues, when the sounds use user samples... |
