You'll need a USB MIDI host of some sort to give the Nanokontrol a DIN plug MIDI port. Kenton make a decent one, but I'd suggest paying a few dollars more for an iConnectivity box. Do an internet search for "USB MIDI Host" to find what options are out there.
Other than that you'll need a computer with a MIDI interface. _________________ Stuff I'm using: Umm right now, well there's a Volca Drum, a Micro Freak, an ADX-1, a Pulse, a Blofeld, a UNO Drum, KeyStep/Beatstep Pro/Keystep Pro (one of each), a Circuit, a LiveTrak L-12 and this nonsense: The Brief-case as it was about a bit over a year ago (the the complete ridiculous GAS monster collection here)and here |

I’ve had both the Nanokontrol 1 and iConnectivity v1 box, and each had a poorly soldered/secured mini USB port. Hopefully v2 QC has improved... _________________ M50-61, KLC, Korg iApps;

iConnectivity's current range's USB ports are the good old Type B USB sockets for connecting to a computer. I've had my MIO4 for about two years and it's ended up dangling from the cables connected to it at one point, no issues yet.
