Hey Sam

My new EPs are definitely there - you might need a re-download/re-install??

Cheers

So does this mean, any controller and breath controller can now be directly connected to the Pa4x?

I use a DM48 harmonica breath controller on mine all the time with a Kenton Midi Host.

Now i load 900 mb set. i cehecked all pads, sync, not sync, i tested transposes, tempos when pads go on, there is NO PROBLEM. with 900 mb set it opens 41 seconds. this is catastrophic SUPER. fonts are super because i made high the LCD brightness. HUGE THANKS KORG.

Note; if you got problem, second time reload OS.
Before this, do not forget restore.

Counting from powering up the keyboard,it takes 30sec till Os version appears,59''when in style mode,and 01:12-01:15 till songbook starts working....
I suppose startup time is the same either you have 300Mb like me or 900Mb like yours,i just don't believe it's only 40 sec,unless it depends on how many styles are loaded and if Direct set is attached or not.
Mine are both full...
Delay could be caused by songbook too i guess...
Someone from Korg could only answer this,Paolo maybe?

I do not use direct sets, but there is an AddOn pack in Local with encrypted SD. Also songbook i don't use. My works are only in user sytles and sounds. Despite all this, it started quickly. Someone's said about pads sync problems, also i did not meet. All are working in harmony. Now the set size is 1050 mb and it starts 56 sec. I need to add that, there are no any compressed data and missing audio source in my set. Buy using pa manager program, i deleted all problematic contents. So, shortly it goes fine.

Hi Bernie,

Yes, but 'Kenton'...that's the keyword right there. The question is though, can you directly connect a breath controller to the Pa4x now?

Thanks to Pete, I was able to get the new sounds installed properly. I did not do the factory restore after the upgrade was completed.

In case you still haven't upgraded, this is how one of the new EP Keyboard sets sounds like:

I loaded update and all went fine. However, can't see the new styles, Venus Pop, Wake Me Pop etc and the new sounds, Pure Suitcase EP etc.
I did the factory restore, but didn't restore Kbd Set Library and Song Book as I have data I don't want to be lose.
The OS 3.0 instructions talks about a seperate PA4X Musical Resources.set. where do I find this? Maybe this is where the styles and sounds are located?
Regards, Ross

Hi Pete,
I did the factory restore after I installed the new OS 3.0.
I left out Kbd Set and Songbook and pushed OK.

After this I reloaded the set file, which I created as a backup before I started the OS update. Maybe this is the problem?

I need to take my own knitting courses as well.

@Sam
SORRY!
Brand new MacBook Pro in the post Wink

@Ross
Hi Ross - I reckon the best approach is to backup everything and then perform the full OS upgrade (with factory restore of everything) - then start the personal tidy up/reload etc. This is what I did and although it meant a bit of work I now have it all sorted.
I reckon some people are not realising that this is a NEW OS version - not just an update - new design etc....
Did your backed-up SET include factory styles etc...? (Hopefully not)
Also note the your backed up SET may overwrite the new styles in the USER areas

Cheers
