Great. I reset those earlier, saved my Global Settings and power cycled the SE. Date and Time were still current and so far after three cycles no message. So hoping the 2014 date that somehow got in the machine was the culprit. Will monitor and advise if I receive additional notifications.

Thank you to all that assisted. Really love this Forum.

off and just monitor the Disc date and time as well as any more popups I get. The SE is working great no glitches so I am reluctant to call in a warranty issue if this is something I can adjust.

excellent. I think, since you reset the date , you should be ok.
There are some old posts that kick this around.

Overall, you should not experience further quirks with your SE.

It's nice to hear it's all OK.
Remember when you buy electronic devices ( phones. microwaves etc ... ), first think to do is to setup DATE & TIME.

It would be a good idea to include inside Kronos box, a sticky note from KORG - Date and Time setup as a starting point.

I bought my Kronos 2 ,6 months ago and start to receive the “low voltage battery “ message,so I did the battery replacement and the message still appears.
I’m gonna check this date configuration and will report back.

for what its worth, I've experienced the Date/Time issue twice. Both times after downloading programs.

Easy fix once you know.

If you have a volt meter (or know anybody with one) you can measure the battery voltage. A healthy battery is about 3.2V. Whilst it is surprising on a new board, things can and do sometimes malfunction. The problem these days is we are so used to things being reliable that it is a shock when they go wrong.

At least in my case, it is definitely NOT a weak battery. There is some software bug that causes the time/date memory to revert to 2010 each time I load new programs.

After 8 yrs of ownership I have never needed to replace the midi clock battery

I realize Korg ' warnings ' or whatever messages are ambiguous.

In this case, the OS triggers a message related to files and dates. Thus the date change is all that is needed, not a new battery

ALWAYS back up your files and Data, just in case.

I had a battery issue about a year ago where I got daily warnings.

They've since stopped. I should probably take some kind of action, yes?
