|

Hello all,
Couple of things:
I'm using the big O for a gig in a few weeks and have decided that I'd like to use the vocoder for two, possibly three tracks.
I've noticed that the Vocoder behaves well in Program mode, but misbehaves in Combi mode. What I really need is a split patch so I can play a nice soft sine-y pad with my right hand, and vocoded chords with my left. I'm using a good quality Audio Technica headset mic, but I'm getting bad feedback from my monitor amp if my head isn't between the amp and the mic, along with spill from the rest of the band. If anyone (the wonderfully helpful Mike Conway perhaps ?!) has any suggestions for more effective control of the vocoder, I'd love to hear them.
Other thing is, I'm wanting to run a feed to the drummer so he can hear a looped line in two of the songs. It's not sequenced but rather it's layered wavetables (I need to shift the pitch three times but it has to stay in time so sampling wasn't an option. And yes, I know I could have setup the same patterns using Karma but I find the architecture really difficult to learn).
My thought was to use a spare slot in the Combi with exactly the same wavetable patch that's coming out of my main outs, but run it to an individual out and send to a small mixer for the drummer. Can anyone see any problem with that? |
