The file called UnlinkedPCMs.csv appears in my Korg Disk every few days.

The contents of the file are :

"Sample index;Sample name;MultiSample index;MultiSample name;Sound
name;DrumSample index;DrumSample name;DrumKit name

Deleted unlinked Samples;0"

This only started appearing after updating to NEXT 3.1

What is it, and what does it mean? Thanks,

Phil

After loading, Pa4X also saves a as an UnlinkedPCMs.csv file in the root of
the KORG DISK, listing all the data pointing to a ‘ghost’ sample. You can open
this file with any spreadsheet program, and check which data is affected.

Very Happy

I had noticed this when touched copy.I opened the file in open office as spreadsheet, and is in Chinese, translating to Destroy the godly doctors, eliminate the shackles, and annihilate the gods. 浡㭥牄浵楋4 considers annihilation. Consider deleting ? Delete what ?-Terry

In v3.1 they added a way to delete the samples that are not working (grey in the sample selection screen (locked are grey too but these are working ok)) which some times interfere with the correct operation of the system..
This file just informs the user if such sample references have been found but the actual sample is missing.I m not sure they wanted it to be accessible by the end user but it makes sense just in case you are wandering why a sample has disappeared!
