|
|
I'm still on the latest 2.x OS version (2.2.0, if I remember correctly), since I was waiting for the new OS Next 3.x to really be stable.
I remember seeing someone mention something about a bug in version 3.1 with backups and restoring those backups, and I don't remember exactly what that issue was or where it was mentioned, but I do use backups often, and wouldn't want to run into an issue later on.
Does anyone know if that's still an issue, or if there's any new info on that, or any ETA for a fix?
And are there any other bugs in 3.1 that would warrant my holding off on upgrading?
I haven't seen anything on new updates in a while, not sure that means that they think most things have been solved for now, or if there's actually any new updates in the works...
Thanks a lot!! |

I personally have no issues with 3.1 - it's been rock solid for me.
You can always revert to 2.2 if you are not happy with the upgrade.
Cheers

I have no problems with the new operating system, for me "full speed ahead".

Yes a very good thing to know about but it shouldn't prevent you from going to 3.1.
Personally I never use the BKP backup option as I prefer full flexibility when I need to recover data.
A full unprotected save plus having the current OS installation files available covers everything for me and enables me to drill down and recover an individual style/sound etc if needed.
Just my personal approach to this which has never failed me.
Cheers

It will be fixed at next OS release.
As Pete said , it shouldn't prevent you from going to 3.1 since Save All works fine. _________________ Music Conductor - Sound Engineer & Developer - Automotive SMPS/RF R&D - Electronics Engineer

Thanks Antony and Pete.
I like the BKP files better, since I feel I have a full backup file that I can restore easily, and once I haven't updated yet, I probably may as well wait for the next incremental update and update then, just hoping it isn't too far off...
Thanks all! |
