The PA4X Oriental does not load the OS and restarts continuously. I had successfully installed OS 2.0 followed by 3.0, 3.01 and the latest OS 3.1 (July 2019). The keyboard was working fine until the following actions were taken:

1. Selected the Media button
2. Selected the Factory Restore option.
3. Factory Restore completed & I was prompted to turn the keyboard off.
3. Turned the keyboard off and turned it on again. However, the keyboard goes through the normal loading procedures -- Korg Logo, followed by the OS 3.1 screen, but the keyboard restarts at this point and this vicious cycle is continuously repeated.

To fix the problem the following actions were taken:

1. Reloaded OS 3.1 -- did not solve the problem.
2. reloaded OS 3.0 -- did not solve the problem.
3. Reloaded OS 3.1 -- did not solve the problem.
4. Replaced the battery with (Energizer 2032 lithium battery). Followed the installing battery procedure as outlined in the latest manual for OS 3.1

Please help.

Try reinstalling OS V2 and then updating to 3.1 because if there is an error in the OS that should correct it. OS V3 is built on OS V2 so if OS V2 got corrupted then OS V3 wont load properly. It may be a power issue but the first thing would be to make sure it's not software before moving on to possible hardware complications

Reverting back to OS 2.2 and then back to OS 3.1 solved the problem.

Try again Utility/factory restore under OS v3.1 to be sure that V.2 factory resources are not corrupted !
Your boot screen looping did not happened from any OS issue but due to corrupted factory Oriental localized extra resources
that your version of keyboard uses !
