Hi
Over the holiday period I managed to knock my 4X 61 with Pas speaker bar attached, off it’s stand. The speaker bar ripped itself off the board and caused some damage to the locking mechanism and the speaker bar locating stud.

I can see that if I can only gain access I can straighten the sliding locking mech. I have to take the whole top of the board off and have tried
to do this by taking out all the screws at the back together with the side plates but couldn’t budge it.

Can anyone point me to some detailed instructions please? I also need to know what and how to get knobs/sliders off please...

Thanks
Bob

I seriously recommend referring this to a Korg-trained engineer.

I have not taken my PA4X apart so I can't assist you.
I used to have instructions (with photos) on how to open up my PA1XPro and PA3X
They were slightly different procedures but I have no idea if the PA4X is different in physical design.

As you clearly had an accident with it, your insurance should cover a repair/replacement surely?

Good luck

Thanks for your advice Pete, decided not to attempt it myself so my local engineer is going to have a look at it for me.
If he doesn’t feel confident then it’s going to have to go back to Korg UK...

Sensible move Bob - I wish you all the best in getting it fixed.
