Hi ,
I am experimenting with various chord variations;
Is it necessary to do Major , minor and any other chords as separate variations when programming a style?
. Is there any advantage in doing that apart from we can programme different patterns for different chords?
Is there any advantage of doing that for the keybord when recognizing and re-mapping the chord;
How about doing it on C Maj 7 only? any disadvantage?
Thanks |

Chord recognition determines which chord you are playing and arranger decide which chord variations (CV1 - CV6) sequence of the selected style element should be played for the scanned chord.
If you do not like to play different sequences depending on scanned chord, it is not necessary programming more than one CV, because notes in the sequence are carefully transposed to make them work fine with all recognized chords.
Sometimes if there are chord variations you never will use, you even may choose to delete them to make the style file lighter.
Some chords also can be misused for soloing drums, bass with temporary muting acc- or bass-tracks, with simply pressing chords like 1+5 or 1+8, without having to take your fingers off the keys ( ----> http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=120672). _________________ kind regards
