I recorded this short walkthrough with Frank Tedesco today. The keys are very soft and synthy. It's light weight but doesn't feel cheap at all and it sounds pretty good though this video does not have any audio demos.
Very nice.
Changing the subject, did you talk do Frank Tedesco and ask him about the future of pax line? _________________ Korg pa5x vs Genos 2 - spec comparison
Maybe I'll sound negative but I think korg is wasting time with the latest releases regarding keyboards they should focus more in my opinion on the higher value market and improve the Kronos and pa4x with new future models better os add new advanced functions, sound and playing capabilities.
They should leave the lower market to casio or yamaha ot whatever other brands maybe I'm not an expert but I think it's not worth it.
If and when the new pa5x or Kronos will come around everybody who owns a previous version will want to buy the new one and will sell their old one for a lower price. And if I need a keyboard I'll better buy an old pa4x than any new i3 or any other brand casio yamaha etc lower market miles apart.
You will see the Korg pa4x among other presented models. This is the proof that at this time we can't expect successor of pa4x.
Let's wait for Musikmesse in April. _________________ Korg pa5x vs Genos 2 - spec comparison

It looks like a nice unit, but they still didn't get the "Improve the damn display/interface" memo!!! I thought we'd see a new generation of interface giving a hint of what's to come in future Pa5x, but alas none to be found! ;-( _________________ Pa5x, Yamaha Genos, ForeScore

Oh the screen on this baby has that early 1900 vintage vibe!
It’s coming sometime next month. I’m at Korg’s booth right now. There’s not a single person from Korg Italy here. _________________ Sam

Korg i3 release date : sometime in February
I asked if I could talk to anybody from Korg Italy or even anyone who has more in depth knowledge about the arranger line and there was none. _________________ Sam
Interesting that they call it the i3. I had an original Korg i3 back in the 1990s and later an i30. They were flagship arrangers for their time. After those, they began the Px series.[/img]

No one seems to know why Korg decided to use the same name for a keyboard that’s is from the EK line!
It doesn’t support USER sounds but you can import older Pa 50 styles as well as EK50 styles, so I was told. In sequencer mode you can export the sequence both in wav. and mp3. _________________ Sam
