If you want to make a real impact on the market..
Then be innovative and not a copy cat..

With ASM hydrasynth Medelli has shown they can do just that
Lets hope they bring the same innovation to arrangers and workstations

This is just a quick cash grab for them..
There is nothing new or refreshing

Yeah, so weird, especially the music keyboard category! So it's a "music keyboard" not to be confused with a computer typewriter Keyboard?

I have watched the available demos on YT for this new Medeli instrument. The pricing seems to be right, and lower than competing models.

It may be worth it to take for a test drive and see how it really sounds.

According to research, it is based on older Yamaha technology. It also has the addition of 3 Upper/1 Lower part configuration. That is kinda nice.

The best thing to do is get one and try it out.

At around $800 USD, it is not a bad deal if it sounds good.

Grace,
Harry

And it has features like usb audio/midi and Bluetooth audio/midi that not even the Genos have. I am very interested in this one. I hope it sounds good.

Ok ....but unless the software is Yamaha compatible ....I would not even consider it!!
Plus I cant imagine there will be the back up equal to Korg/Yamaha/Roland etc ....Or forums like these where you can get user/tech answers needed with such a small market sales share.

May as well look for a decent used Yamaha or Korg .... for around the same new price.

Well thats my take on it .....if anbody is interested

I read on another forum somewhere about this new Medeli keyboard. It looks A LOT like a Yamaha and sounds like one.

According to the forum I read on, they are using previous generation Yamaha sounds and styles. Maybe Yamaha has licensed it to them to use or otherwise made it available to them. It is not current sounds and styles, from what I read in the forum. If I can remember the forum, I will post the link so others can read it.

Maybe Yamaha has similar thinking to different web browsers that use a previous version of the Chromium engine to power their browsers. They either pay way less, or do not pay at all, for a previous version of something.

If this is true with the Medeli arranger, then would it still be a good arranger to consider, even if it does not offer the current sound engine and technology? According to Medeli, the new arranger has a few different German Piano sounds. Maybe they sampled their own or something.

Either way, it may still be a good unit to look at.

Grace,
Harry
