I created drum patterns in the step sequencer and saved it to a Program or Combi as a Favorite. When I select the bank and number I saved it to and press Drum Track, it triggers the original drum track for the Program/Combi instead of the one I created and saved to favorites. If I press Run, it plays the drum pattern I created. How can I get the Drum Track to trigger the pattern I created?

Use the Step Sequencer...
Drumtrack patterns are not editable... step sequencer patterns only can be edited !
So you have always both drum patterns available in a combi: one from drumtrack (that you can replace but not edit) and one from step sequencer (that you can replace by your own pattern).

All of these are clearly explained in the manual...

Thank you for your response. But here is the unanswered question:
Once I save the pattern I created in favorites, can I select the bank and number I saved it in, press Drum Track so that it is blinking, and then trigger my pattern when I start playing the keyboard. Thanks in advance.

It is linked to the step sequencer not the drumtrack !!!
Active your step sequencer, and Run it for playback the user pattern.
=> buttons near the step sequencer panel, not drumtrack button.

p.89 of the Operation Guide... evrything is explained clearly with shema.

You can choose predefined drumtrack pattern only in drumtrack mode. User pattern are for step sequencer (if step sequencer pattern), or melodic voice for classic arpeggio pattern.

There is no logic here. It is only because kross is an integration of different software components from different other synths... nothing more than different plugins with non interaction or real integration. No R&D, no effort, few software dev...

Thanks for the explanation. Now it makes sense. Your last paragraph about the Kross being made of plugins from other synths made it clear. It seems that if it was a clean sheet design I would be able to create drum patterns and play them back using Favorites and the Drum Track function. Now that I understand it, I can work around it.
Thanks again.
