Hi.

I want to use the vokalist with a signal from a AUX output from my mixer and then mute the lead voice but I can't figure out how to make the Pa4X work with a line signal from my mixer.
Help please. Very Happy Very Happy

Regards

Hi Peter

Unfortunately you cannot output just the harmonies unless you mute the lead voice - vocals remain together and mixed on the PA4X.
THAT would be a nice feature for future models!!!

However you can output the vocals from ports 1 & 2 and have the rest out of L & R
(This is how I have my PA4X vocals set up)
The audio output settings are in GLOBAL mode

Cheers

Thanx Pete, I know that you can't separate the Vokalist from the output but what I can't figure out is how to make the LINE signal from the AUX work in the Vokalist.
My mixer is a Presonus StudioLive and the "fat channel" has Gate, Limiter, Comp, Low cut, 4 band EQ and 4 great Effects. I really don't wanna bypass that. Very Happy

Check these PA4X settings:-

GLOBAL>>AUDIO & VIDEO
Change AUDIO IN to "MIC"
Change AUDIO OUT to "Out1+2"

Now all mic input will be directed to output ports 1 & 2 so you will get all vocals output including harmonies
See page 516 in the latest (OS 3.1) User Manual

Hope this helps and that I have understood your questions correctly.

Peter (hamborg), this link https://www.crowdcast.io/korgworld will take you to a series of tutorials by the great Pete Shaw. Scroll down to the one on harmonisers.

In one of these he deals with the harmoniser in some depth. About 15 minutes into the segment he shows how you can eliminate the lead voice leaving just the harmonies come through - it involves the use of the assignable sliders. Works a treat on the 4X, but I couldn't get it to work on my 3X - don't know why. Anyway, hope it's what you want.

Cheers, Giner
