I'd like to make a DC power splitter adapter so I can power some LED illumination (only a few watts, and also 12v) and the Krome 88 with the Krome wall wart. I'd need a male and female plug/socket to make the adapter, but don't know what the specs of the plug/socket are. Are they some standard European spec or are they Korg-only parts?

Alternately, I could just cut the cable near the plug and splice in the other plug for the LED illumination. Any issues with that?

The connectors are Japanese, type EIAJ-04.
