|
I want to buy a dedicated synthesiser that’s more in depth to go alongside my Kronos 2 73 version. I thought of the Waldorf Quantum but then of course there are many others available. The one I want has to be top of the range and modern.
Please advice or any opinions welcome. _________________ Patrick |

I would love to have a Quantum with my Kronos. That interface is to die for. Analog filters, and deep synthesis options make it really attractive. Plus, you can make it talk!
I use the Virus TI with my Kronos, and they compliment each other very well, as they sound very different from one another. I know the Virus is quite a bit older, but it serves me spectacularly.
The Quantum is out of my price range. I've been keeping an eye on the Iridium threads/videos. I think either would be heavenly. |

Tim Shoebridge compare at site Quantum and Iridium

Listening to digital version of filters in Iridium he meant "sound almost identical".
I don't agree one bit - the digital filters sound flat boring and no life.
Quantum is a good choice I'm sure.
8-voice Moog One could be another

But since I am not in that price range yet on synths I cannot praise Prologue enough. I just find myself lost for hours every time I turn it on.
But seriously considering upcoming Arturia Polybrute(start shipping end of jan)

Actually already got a second tier stand over piano for it. _________________ MIDI gear: Sequential REV2.16, Prologue-8, Hammond XK-3C, Kawai MP7SE piano, Nord Lead 2X, Roland D-05 |
