I am a New Kronos owner. Browsing through the Combi,s I am surprised at the huge difference in the volume levels. When I look at the settings I can see no reason for this. Is this normal? Interested in other users comments. Thanks in Advance. |

Yes, that is my experience as well. I find that I have to equalize all of the voices I’m using with my band so that the dynamics are properly relative.
Fortunately there is the master volume on the MFX/TFX page - once set up in my Setlist I will call up each and adjust so that they sit properly against the overall collection. |

not clear if you are referring to Programs or Combis.
different instruments have variation , differing velocity.
EQ/FX also impact program volume. _________________ Kronos 88. MODX8

Thanks for your prompt reply. I find it very annoying that there are huge differences in the levels. It would seem that the content is compiled from every Tom Dick and Harry,s Ideas. I dare not put the phones on because of this problem. |

Well it’s not that bad on my X, yes there is variation but when I create setlists i routinely balance volumes.

I haven’t found them to be that extreme either, although I don’t listen to unrefined voices through my headphones or IEMs.
I’m still trying to get my guitar and bass player to normalize theirs, dammit! |

Those guitar players and their loud amps! Count yourself lucky if you find someone who doesn't sonically stomp over everyone else (drummers included!)...
And doubly blessed if you have guitarists who have manageable enough egos to actually allow 2 guitars in one band!
Guitarists are a dime a dozen. Live keyboard players are few, treasure them. And make sure the sound guy doesn't turn the keys down! Moar keys. |
