I have just started to integrate my Kronos with Gig Performer, a plugin hosting platform for live performance. I'm trying to understand how MIDI and the status(Off, INT, EXT and EXT2) functions will work for what I'm attempting to do in Gig Performer. What I seem to notice initially is that whatever the Global MIDI channel is set to in the Kronos is being transmitted out USB/MIDI. No matter what I have the individual track status set to, the MIDI output still is transmitting whatever the Global channel is set to. For example, if I have the status set to Off for a track, MIDI is still being transmitted. What specific understanding of Status mode am I'm not getting here?
Thx! |

As Kronos Parameter guide p781 goes: "In Combination mode, data will be transmitted simultaneously on the global MIDI channel and on the MIDI channels of timbres whose Status (Combination 0–1b, 2–1a) is set to EXT or EX2."
In most cases - anything you play or generate Midi CC with your joystic, ribbon, aftertouch etc - it goes out by Midi Gch. _________________ Korg KronosX/Pa4x/M3 • Ableton • Komplete 13 • Omnisphere • soundcloud.com/allandd |
