I tried to import a wav file (48/24) into the squencer but found that the sound quality is somehow downgraded. like 16bit. Can anyone tell why? |

Welcome to the forum. Ideally this will have been posted in the Kronos section.
Is the imported WAV file mono or stereo? Also, was the WAV file copied to the Kronos' internal HDD (SSD actually, but referred to as HDD in the manuals) before importing?

Any wave material that is imported into RAM will automatically be reduced to 16 bit. The only way to keep audio at 24 bit is to import to Internal HD, on a sequence audio track. Make sure in Preferences that your Audio Tracks are set to 24 bit. You can see an example at the 2:25 mark, here:

Thanks for your help. I followed the exact sane procedures in the youtube but still sound downgraded. I have cope to HDD and set preference to 24 bit. My wave file is 48/24 and when I play it in the disk mode it is perfectly fine just the downgrade in seq. The file size 80M would that be too big to import? |

Size shouldn't be an issue. Maybe it is the file type. The fact that you can play it from disk is confusing. It should sound the same as that. |

What makes you think it is downgraded? Most people would be hard pressed to audibly differentiate between 24bit and 16 bit audio unless greatly manipulating the audio - what does it sound like? _________________ Current Equipment:
