Hi,
I just bought a Triton Taktile 49, trying to get it set up with Cubase in Windows 10 v.21H2. I'm using Komplete Audio 6 as my audio interface via USB.

I installed the Korg USB Midi driver and the Korg Kontrol Editor. The "Korg Triton taktile-49" shows up in the device manager under "audio, video and game controller". Alas, the device is showing as NOT CONNECTED in the Korg Kontrol Editor. And it doesn't show at all in Cubase and in Cakewalk.

So, does anybody know how to configure a PC to get the Taktile to work with a DAW?

THANK YOU for reading!

I'm answering my own question here: After some research I found out that this is a very common issue on PCs that had a lot of USB Audio/Midi devices connected to them. Windows remembers those and keeps them available. If these devices add up to more than 10 before the Korg driver is installed, the Korg Midi driver won't work because for some reason it wants to be among the first 10.

With the Korg USB Driver installed, we also have a little MIDI utility installed, which is located in the KORG folder under Program Files x86. There is an program file called UnInstDrv.exe which will list all the available slots and its occupants. As the name says, it can also be used to uninstall some or all of them. I just had to make sure to uncheck the option "Only Korg drivers". Now all I had to do was to delete the ones I found to be obsolete. After a restart, the Korg driver was now among the first 10 on the list AND NOW IT WORKS!
