Hi guys

I own a Kronos 2 and it works flawlessly.

I recently got my hands on an used (and beated up) Kronos X that i want to slowly reassemble and give some love to it (it is missing buttons, sliders, scratches)

That i can fix, but something that is bothering me is that sometimes, diving in the menu i notice some "lags" that i dont see on my Kronos 2, entering Disk mode lags a bit, sometimes the UI freezes for 1 or 2 seconds. Has someone experienced this problem?

My guesses would be:

Bad Ram (or loose)
Thermal issues (is it getting too hot, or is the CPU heat sink bad)
Bad SSD (read errors may cause the issues you are describing)

If it is that beat up, I would check all that was suggested...but I would go ahead and install a new SSD while you are in there.

It is easy to do, and will hold up better than the cheaper, tiny ones they use.

I cloned mine...but you could use the original disks (available online with a search) to restore a new SSD.
