After three days of using this keyboard, my impression is this.

Me, You, paid 5000Е each to be beta testers.

A lot of missing things from before. Not often but self restarting sometimes, Freeze. Alphabetical orders of everything. Poor import option.
I spent two days getting back from my old set about 60% of what I need.
etc...etc.

Honestly. We ate the stick this time. Smile Thank you Great Korg but next time we win. Thanks also to the YouTube testers. At least they got a free sample.

Haha! I could not agree more!

I remember when I got the Yamaha Genos (or even Pa4x), it was totally different feeling!

But I'm sure after a few months, we'll all be relieved!

I don't know about genos, but for Pa4x, with the expected problems as a new product I needed one day until noon to be ready for the performance.

And now I sound frustrating. I have a problem at home, after spending so much money, I am borrowing a keyboard for the next performances.
Sometimes trouble makes us to write here with the hope that the one who needs it will see and try to fix it, soon as possible.

When (and if) I get my PA5x I will have to live with the cost of owning both PA4x and PA5x until I am satisfied I can perform all my music.
Right now, there is no question that the PA5x will not enable me to do that so I have to wait and see how it develops.

I am reasonably optimistic about its future - just how long it will take is another issue.

You are absolutely right. I hurried. I trusted Korg more, that is, I didn't expect them to fail so much. 7 years ago for a day and a half, I went to a performance with my Korg Pa4x.
We will endure this one. but they will also eat penalties for this.

Italy manufactures the PA series for Korg, so my assumption is that design is performed there as well. Now, there may likely be communication between Japan and Italy during creation, as indicated with the introduction of sound samples that were introduced into the PA5x from the Nautilus which is manufactured in Japan. Cool

It is damaging to Korg's reputation to launch unfinished products.

Trust me, they don't give a crap.
As long as they have free testers who pay them to alpha test for them, they are in a win/win situation.
All this so make sense from their perspective that I can "see" them laughing at those (ours) comments now.

That's a little sadistic.... I am sure there are those connected to PA5X (dealers/distributors/developers and programmers) who are just as frustrated as the end users at the moment...

But I do feel the backlash is stronger this time, with a clearly premature release of PA5X when considering all things and I am sure Korg will feel this from all those mentioned above withstanding the strong feedback coming from all quarters including returns rates and much hesitation to purchase at the moment...

Unfortunately (I'm not overly happy as things stand which I hope will be temporary) this is going to require some patience to allow Korg to react and remedy all the issues but I have faith that will happen by factoring in past experiences with PA3x, PA4x...

And Korg will need to do a serious internal review if my words are true.

I am a newbie with Korg. Is it usual that faults appear in very basic use level?

Yes, there are always bugs (from Pa80-Pa4x), but now this one is exaggerated to the point that we here (not all, but most of us) have to borrow a keyboard (I was lucky, Pa1000 from a friend) to be able to work.

This one looks like a beginner and without previous experience (lessons learned) he thought of making an arranger.
I will say again, I am sorry that we have come to this miserable situation and excessive discussion of this case.
Perhaps the other side also irritated us that it has not announced anything about this problem anywhere (they might be surprised too). If only they had apologized, promised something, it would have been different and such comments here would surely have been cut in half.
A little while ago, I wanted to copy paste from the internal to USB memory, it froze for two seconds, and then restarted by itself.
However, I think we are too good in the comments, because at this moment other words came to my mind. Smile
