Looks more modern than what Ketron normal put out. With a Ketron I would always expect great styles and sounds. Never was a fan of their panel and UI layout though.
Looking forward to seeing if they have made any improvements.
Regards
Sharp. |

Question: Where do you even buy Ketron keyboards in the US anyway? _________________ facebook.com/youwishmusic |

I heard some of the demo of this Ketron SD 9, sorry guys, but nothing impressive with this keyboard comparing even with a Korg Pa1000 regarding sound quality.
I am not talking about its feature, wouldn't be a fair comparison with Pa1000, certainly it should have more options.
The audio demo are just fine, nothing Wow..., beside that it doesn't have the pitch bender like the Pa series. Not for me...
Sorry guys just my opinion. |

BR, my opinion is exactly the same. I had SD90 in the house for 2 days and was happy to drop it off at the shop. Audio drums and guitars very nice, but not really to use in midi files... the styles all sound very similar, little freshness. From the sounds I found maybe the accordions, better than the Korg, the rest... Korg already makes much more improvement from the old to the new model and still people lament here But that's my opinion, there are people who want Ketron. And of course I'm writing about the previous keyboards, maybe "Event" will surprise me, but then a lot would have to change... _________________ Sorry 4 my English - I only speak Polish & German & really like my Pa5X |

Hi BR,
I am a little confused. You refer to a Ketron SD9 demo. That model is over five years old. The model that the thread is referring to is a new model that has yet to be launched called the Ketron Edge. Maybe I am getting it wrong, but that's how I read it.

Ketron Edge, or Event? The images in the original post would suggest "Event". |

Hi Voip,
My apologies, 'Event' is the correct name.

Hi Chris,
Sorry to confuse you. I was referring to the link mentioned above by Giner.
In their website the Ketron SD9 is advertised as NEW, so I thought that was the latest keys by Ketron.
I never had any Ketron keyboard, and usually the latest keyboard should be advertised in the official site
and my post was based on the audio demo in the website on SD9 (advertised as new).
By the way the Pa1000 is also 5 years old...
Take care |
