As you can see I have been using Korg for a very long time

However the night before typing this I spent a massive amount of time chasing the vocoder set up in SEQ MODE at least four hours trying to get it to work.

So here it goes...

1. Copy from Program O-126 Vocoder Mic Input -1
2. I swear I kept setting the FX Control to 1
3. Set to FX Control 1 in Audio Track Tab
4. Set to Rec Bus on Audio Tab to 1
5. test mic while playing a chord
6. I get the sound from the chord but the voice is not going thru the effect
Evil or Very Mad
I went back and forth with this for about up to a total of four hours with even referring to the manual but the audio signal would not route through as hoped until I chose from IN-Track Sampling for which I do not wish to do. However when I did choose this selection the signals now [seemed] to route as ex-pected.

so would this not work the same as in SEQ Mode ?
Unless we have changed something then just copying from Program and selecting how the Effect Setup / Routing would copy in-to the SEQ Insert effect section ?
2. For the Audio Input, set the FX Control Bus (0–8c) to FX Control 1.
This sends the audio input to FX Control Bus 1.
3. In IFX1: Vocoder, set the Modulator Source to FX Control 1.

Maybe is about the audio settings from Audio input. Check in SEQ if is set Use Global Settings. I think in vocoder programs is not select as Global settings but I can't check myself today. So even you copy from program the audio input settings is same as Global that mean audio input is not Bus to Ifx 1 as in Vocoder Program.
Go to SEQ Audio In Sampling, Unselect the Use Global Settings, set the Audio Input 1 Fx Ctrl BUS to IFX 1.

I did not have this run around while on the M3 with the Vocoder ok so ya got the Vocoder set up correct then you record on a track because you need the track where the Vocoder is coming through to trigger with the voice SINCE YOU DONT WANT TO PLAY THE 🎹 while the song is playing. and also while using this vocoder when i’m switching from record modes there’s a loud high pitch sound that i know if i don’t watch out this can damage the headphones good thing i’m not using studio monitors one would be blown out by now.
