|
|
- Matrix Pads are assigned factory or user pads that are independent from known 4 Styles Pads and can be used in any Style or Song player mode.
- Matrix Pads preferences that concerns only Pads positions , can only be saved or loaded from SETTING folder.
- Matrix 3x16 tabs (except mute page 4) , are consisted per page from 4 columns :
C1 = 1,5,9,13 (pad1 ID)
C2 = 2,6,10,14 (pad2 ID)
C3 = 3,7,11,15 (pad3 ID)
C4 = 4,8,12,16 (pad4 ID)
These 4 columns have been assigned respectively to Pad1 - Pad4 sound slots and only one from those 5 per group can be used like
Pad1 , Matrix pads 1,5,9,13 since each one will reset the previously selected.
Matrix interface is still under development and rather unfinished so there are no permanent mixer parameters to be saved per matrix tab.
All mixer settings are read exclusively from saved Pad sounds in Banks/folders when a matrix tab is assigned to them.
Any manual adjustment of matrix pads in mixer will be lost when you change player or restart.
The only way to define specific matrix pad parameters and mixer for using them exclusively in Matrix tabs is to create/copy specific existing
pad in a new created folder in User Pads area (via Style/any Pad selection) let's say 'Matrix Sounds" copy that pad there and rename it to
"Matrix Pad" sound.
- In Style play/MAIN/ click on Pad 1 , assign it to PAD/USER/Matrix Sounds/Matrix Pad , go to Mixer/select Pads kbd , select pad 1 track
and set volume and all other mixer settings you need for that matrix pad.
- Then from upper screen menu select "save Pad" / to library pad , overwriting the existing.
- As last , go to Matrix Tab/edit/ and assign matrix tab you want with this edited "Matrix Pad".
Do the same for any pad sound that needs mixer editing when used in Matrix buttons.
Hope this helps _________________ Music Conductor - Sound Engineer & Developer - Automotive SMPS/RF R&D - Electronics Engineer

Antony, thanks for the write-up. I was also struggling to understand how to get the Matrix PAD volumes saved and recalled. You saved me countless hours. Thanks once again for the detailed write-up. |
