Is anyone else tired of the ipod? I mean, I agree they're totally cool, but did you know that you can get a touchscreen, COLOR, RCA Lyra for almost the same price? That's just one example..

Anyway, so what does everyone own? I own (if I can find it) a 512mb RCA Lyra. Little dinky thing for the gym.

Although I have the older H-120 Iriver without the color screen, I did not have to buy anything separate to get the same, if not more capabilites as the IPOD. I think its the best value. Plus the interface on the newer models is less clucky than the joystick navigation on mine. Hmmm very tempting...

Call me a relic, but I don't own one, and don't intend to.
I still use my Sony Mini Disc, player/recorder. It's just slightly larger, and a tad heavier, but It's much better sound quality than MP3.
Fit's nicely in my pocket, and in my bicycle carrying case.

Ok i think i,m the one who can this best!I heave owned a few of MP3 player and found out that THE IRIVER series is the best.Couse of the batery time and functions & Design (Innio) is awesome.
The problem is, the IHP series are to big, IFP was my favorite.Just one Battery and 20 hours of music playing.
I pod , to much pushing on buttons.
Creative, Not so creative!!!
The best players whit great design and sound is IRIVER, Also the company is great.JUST go out and look , evry player is like IRIVER, but nothing is a IRIVER!

that'll be on the next model, truly the irivers are a dream for us digital geeks who need a lot of features, just record audio wav or mp3 from the built in mic for ambient sounds and it's already stored on your portable hard drive, also audio in is great if you want a copy of a song on someone's cd player or what have you, simply hook the audio connector to their headphone jack and to the audio in and record the song, you now have an mp3 which is close to the original without having to go buy the album, sort of like the old copy a song to cassette concept except now it's on your mp3 player!!
