Hi everyone,

I have just released the Oasys Companion full version 1.10. It is available from my website. (See below for address). It has many additional features to the freeware version. You can:

1. Use the librarian for Combinations, Drum kits, Wave sequencer and Global data
2. More sophisticated PCG data extraction routines
3. Send combinations, drum kits and wave sequences to the Oasys buffer
4. Create new programs, combinations, drum kits and wave sequences quickly and automatically from existing ones
5. Create Master PCG files containing 10,000’s of programs
6. Auto audition complete PCG files
7. Summarise PCG file contents
8. Facility to search PCG programs by name, category etc.
9. Compare programs and find repeated programs in a PCG
10. Rename programs, initialise programs.
11. Save and open a single program, combi etc. to/from a file Also paste into an existing PCG file !
12. Use the power of the fractal sequencer to inspire musical compositions
13. Change program and combi banks and programs remotely from the Oasys by using the software.
14. Program Play and Combination Play modes.
15. Produce randomised programs – quickly create brand new sounds
16. Produce randomised combinations - quickly create brand new sounds
17. Mark Programs/Combinations as favourites in PCG file or ‘turn off’ Prog/combi as a favourite.

Documentation for Version 1.2 of the Oasys Companion is now available on my website. Note that Karma on the Oasys works with the Fractal Sequencer producing some amazing melodies!

Hi,

Im working on version 1.3 of the Oasys Companion software. I have added randomisation features to Karma and am doing the same for the AL 1 Analogue synthersizer in the O. If any registered users want to have a play please let me know and I will send a beta version out to you.

Also any suggestions on which randomisation parameters for Karma or the AL 1 people would like ,would be welcome. I have started to add my own ones already.

HI,

Work on version 1.3 of my Oasys Companion software is nearly complete - Beta testing underway. The new documentation for version 1.3 has been uploaded to my site. I have added AL1 (Analog Synth 1) , Karma GE and HD1 (High Definition Instrument) editing and randomisation features. This enables users to be able to very quickly generate new sounds by the press of a button. I will add similar for LAC and String expansion instruments shortly.

Hi,

Version 1.3 of the Oasys Companion software for the PC is now available. The new documentation is now on my website. Version 1.3 covers some major new areas of the Oasys. The aim is to enable very quick generation of new sounds - by the press of a single button!

It includes:-

An AL-1 analog synth editor and randomiser. This module enables the user to select a parameter group such as amplifier E.G. and randomise the parameters in the PCG file associated with that group. You can control the 'strength' of the randomisation. You can select LFO, amplifier E.G. Cut off Filter A & B, E.G. 1 to 4, Oscillator 1 & 2, sub Oscillator, Ring/Noise, FilterA and Filter B groups.

There is a seperate module for the String Model EXi. Similar to the AL-1 features. You can randomise parameters for modulation mixer/feedback, LFO, amplifier EG, EG 1 to 4, String Parameters, Noise and excitation mixers, Pluck and damping, Harmonics, PCM Samples, FilterA and Filter B plus Amplifier Modulation .

The High Definition HDi instrument programs are also covered and the user can randomide the Oasys rom samples. 2,000,000 combinations are possible all at the press of a button!

Take a look at the documentation. I will produce a PCG of AL-1 programs for free download on my website shortly. Would registered users please e-mail me for the updated program.

V 1.4 includes:-

An LAC Legacy Analog Collection synth editor and randomiser. This module enables the user to select a parameter group such as Modulation Generator, LFO 1 & 2, E.G., Oscillators, HPF, LPF, Resonance & E.G. and randomise the parameters in the PCG file. You can control the 'strength' of the randomisation.

New to the editor is a facility to 'undo' edits you make!

Ive posted some new Oasys programs on my website. There are 10 new ones for the LAC Extension Instrument - MS20. Called LAC 'n' Ring created with the Oasys Companion - Version 1.4. They are in a zipped folder with a text file of notes. Feel free to download - Have fun!

Hi everyone,

I have now completed work on version 1.4 of the Oasys Companion software. In this version you can randomise various parameters of LAC (Legacy Analogue Collection) programs. There is also an 'undo' facility for edits which you make. This was a feature which was requested by many users.
