for those who need it
I've made a Cakewalk/Sonar instrument definition file for the X-50. It includes the program names, drum note names and controller names of the X-50.

Can anyone confirm that this .INS file actually works for the X-50? Thanks. |

It works just fine in Sonar 5PE. Once it is properly associated inside of Sonar, there are no further settings you need to change on the X50.

I doubt it. Guess that's a stupid question...
here's another one: does anyone know of an INS file for Sonar for the micro-X?
have checked Cakewalk's website... nothing.
thanks |

how are you finding the Micro-x in Sonar?? i seem to be having big problems... It seems to be sending out midi messages even when nothing is being touched on the synth. these messages are messing up the timing of my tracks and the USB software editor seems to hang notes and generally not be very stable with the timing. Any ideas !? |

hi Hraymon
well i am a newbie in all this really.... so nothing to compare it to.
i don't have the problems you describe..... no idea how to help you... sorry.
i am in the middle of building an INS for microX.
I will post when it is ready.
have Sonar Home Studio on my PC and the microX attached with USB, just like you. i shall shortly be gettinga PCI sound interface with MIDI jacks, so may stop using the USB connection then... although I don't seem to be having any probs with it. |

which version number of Sonar Home Studio are you using?
I think if i upgrade to 6 or even 7 the problem might (hopefully!) go away..
thanks |
