I just began having this problem with my Triton Le (approx. 3 years old) and don't know what to do about it. My keyboard knowledge is very limited so I'm hoping someone can help me out.

I'm playing a Prog A sound (like vibraphone for example) and all of a sudden, the main part of the sound disappears and the remaining sounds will swell if I press the keys and hold them down. If I switch sounds and then go back to vibraphone, it'll play normal for about 40 seconds or so and then do the same thing again. I've noticed other PROG A sounds doing this as well. WHY??????

I'm going through older posts for help and this is the first thread that best describes the problem I'm having. So I'm bumping it.

My keyboard is also about 3 years old.

This error is very odd -- when I'm playing the main sound will drop out and only leave remnant background sounds, swelling as initially described. Very disconcerting when playing live. You can get the original sound back by either rebooting altogether (turn on and off) or click from COMB to PROG or vice versa. This problem occurs in either mode.

I thought it might be a short in my damper pedal, but it still occurs when I swap to other pedals.

Could updating the system software perhaps fix this problem? Has anyone else experienced this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Using a different pedal will make no difference if the pedal is not a KORG one, and if the polarity is not set to KORG in GLOBAL mode.

So, try disconnecting the pedal totally, AND.... setting the polarity back to KORG in the Global Mode.

Then see if you still have this problem

Regards.
Sharp,

I have a Korg TR61 for about 5 month and I experienced this phenomena 2 or 3 times and I do not use any pedal or accessories, strange.
I think it's time for an update.

Do you mean update to software/os?

I used it last night, no problems at all. But at the gig last Saturday? It probably dumped on me 5 or 6 times. It is very unnerving when performing live...

I still need to analyze the pedal polarity, but I'm not convinced this is the problem?
