I've been thinking! (Yeah I know, there's a first time for everything..)

Doesn't the soon to come Karma update require an update of the Oasys?..

And if so, any chance Korg threw in a few goodies in there just to make the package even greater? Very Happy (I mean, it's almost obvious an update is due some time this year.)

And now, an appropriate emoticon:

Applause

(That's me, applauding myself for being right.)

Pray

That's me applauding you for being right too Smile

Stephen et al., have mentioned previously that the Oasys and the M3 require an OS update to support the external Karma editing software, just as the Karma workstation itself did, back in the day.

I think you're right to imagine that such an Oasys OS update might include some other goodies too, that would be fair speculation IMHO.

Adding this to Dan's queries out our preferred updating mechanism recently, certainly gives the impression that interesting things are on the radar.

Drool

Daz.

Daz,

After reading your response, I danced the "FM/VPM-synthesis" dance!!

(It's not for everyone. It involves metallic drone-like singing, and deep deep thumping DX-bass playing..)

Sounds like fun Smile

That's certainly been a much wished for option for an EXi and definitely high on my list. I am trying to contain myself as it really could be anything at the moment, which is exciting in it's own way.

The 17th is only an announcement, and only from Karma Labs, so we might be dancing to those clangorous sounds for a little while yet. Maybe Korg will do an Apple on us and just release an update with no announcement. It was very weird knowing zero about Logic 8 until earlier this week and then having it running on machine one day after it was announced.

I believe Korg have a workaround.

They call it VPM.
