How many Program and/or Combi banks do MOD-7 and EXs3 take up?

(I have always assumed Korg would keep releasing stuff until our Program and Combi banks are full)

Yes, using my logic, neither these OASYS "upgrades" nor your new Apple Studio software count as "new gear"!!!

MOD-7 comes with 128 Programs in User-C Bank. We will also be releasing two additional bank of Programs as "service" banks - more sounds that were developed over the last year, but are not quite as complete (less controller assignments, no KARMA etc.). no Combis - we'd never be done!

EXs-3 will have a full Bank of Programs and "some" number of Combis - we're still working on it - not sure at this moment.

Regards,

Jerry

P.S. Very funny joke over at HC... dongle indeed...

Well done guys,

So the MOD-7 loads DX7 sounds, never would of seen that coming. A EXi that loads Trinity, 01/W, or Triton Sounds now that would of been cool. But I am not complaining.

Can't wait to get the updates.

yep - very well done guys - this looks absolutely amazing - I've never really got into FM, nor understood this 6 operator terminology and this looks like the beast to really start exploring it.

Also many plaudits to idea to allow access to all the DX7 patches. This was totally unexpected and will give us access to thousands of ready made patches which we can then mangle, assign real time controls to at will.

You've even had a fairly positive response on HC which is a small miracle in itself. Even some of the die hard naysayers are struggling to control their jealousy!

[Please please please now turn your great creative minds to the seq / workflow aspects. With this at the same cutting edge standard as your engines this machine would be incredible (and you'd make a lot of us even happier) - but not to take anything away from your release today - I'm very very excited by this and can't wait for Oct 1st.]

THANK YOU!!
Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Finally, I can stop my FM dancing and instead look forward to FM playing!
I am so happy I got myself an Oasys, the possibilities are endless, and I feel "special" when I, as a consumer, get the opportunity to load new EXi's with completely new synthesis methods.

Again, thank you Korg and Karma, you've proven your excellence once again. Very Happy

I would have been more than happy with just old school DX type of synthesis. But THIS?!!!

This completely blows me away!!

Never in my dreams had I expected such a powerful EXi, this is just amazing. I can hardly wait until 1 october..

Not trying to put a dampener of things here....

the new OS is welcome, and I have no issues with Buying the Newer EXi's but just one slight annoyance,I have gone totally hardware with my studio with the Oasys being a central focal point,I no longer utilise a PC within my studio......

so Now in order to make use of the User GE's within my HARDWARE Oasys I have to purchase the Karma software!!!!

Way to Go Korg Evil or Very Mad
Sorry to be a Killjoy Stephen, but why just limit it to the users of your Software??I would have no issues having to pay a fee to upgrade the ability within the Oasys synth, providing I had the full functionality of it within the workstations, why has it been confined to the Karma software???

What exactly is the pro side and benefit of user GEs for non software users now????

My guess is as good as any - well, in reality, it's probably way too complicated to edit these things on the fly on OASYS's LCD. The interface for such actions would probably be just out of place there, and (ab)using too much unncecessary system resources. It's much more comfortable to edit these things on a computer.
