If you ever get around to converting that Duduk sample to OASYS, I'd definitely buy it.

So many topics all within one thread...

No, we don't quite have to final multisample list now, because we're still finalizing the order, the names etc. Soon...

The collection is a bit of a hybrid - it's not specifically orchestral, although plenty of the sounds will work that way. But we also wanted to cover pop/rock/r&b applications, so the solo saxes, trumpet, trombone can cover that world. But we have french horn, cornet, tuba, nice clarinet, some double reeds etc. so it works across genres/applications

And I'm loving the flutes!!

So we'll post some more info when we get the names cleaned up etc. It's coming out real nice...

regards,

Jerry

I'm sure its a lovely package and that the guys have done fantastic job. But, and I feel awful saying it. I just find the demo's a little too synthetic. Maybe if they would demo solo sounds, that might help. Think

I'm really looking forward to hearing what you got. EXB-PCM 06-07 had some wonderful sounds, and to think that was only 32MB Smile Can't wait to hear what you guys do with 700MB.

About the new EXi "brass/woodwinds"

one of the main issues to get a more realistic trumpet/sax/horn/flute/clarinet....... is simulating their sound articulation.......well, that's true for guitar and other intsruments too.
How many times you heard a demonstrator do things that you are not able to do with the same synth loaded with the same presets and samples.
Samples themselves are very important, but that's just the beginning of a long path, which includes the programming of the presets (parameters and controllers) and the way they have to be played.
There has to be something more than a huge new sample library. I am waiting to discover the programing secrets which will make easier for us to play a nice "brass/woodwind" emulation.
I think that a brief tutorial of the playing technique will also be welcome............and then sell your EWIs and fire the brass section.......

Sharp - that's fantastic. (I won't hold you to it), but if you ever get around to it you'll make a lot of OASYS users very happy. Duduk may be a little overused in film soundtracks these days, but it's still an absolutley georgous sound.

Thanks,
Kevin.

Dear people at Korg:

Regarding the comment "Individually played notes can be richly expressive, thanks to the included samples of idiomatic dynamics, trills, falls, growls, and staccato articulations. Sophisticated programming lets you use controllers to vary these articulations, for easy performance of natural-sounding wind instrument phrases that would be difficult to produce by simply playing back the basic sample data."

Does it something already present in EX1 and EX2 libraries or something totally new?
Does it have something to do with the RX technology used in the PA series?

Rgds.

Hi Sharp,

we have with the KPS 3.1 covered all... Syntetic and also Orchestral strings in high quality!
You can ask here the users in the forum for our quality... Also we saled the strings too Michael Cretu (ENIGMA) and he used now.., for string-sounds only the KPS 3.1

Best Regards,

Kurt

Hi Kurt

Yes, and I really enjoyed listing to them all too.
Demo 4, 5, 6 and 7 are your synthetic, where 1,2,3 and 8 are your real world sounds. They all sound very nice, but I'm finding it difficult to get an idea as to the quality of the library from the demo's.

Anyway... no point in getting into all this. Don't mind me, I'm just picky when it comes to strings. I'm sure it's a great library.

Kind Regards.
Sharp.
