After 2 days of trying to get 1.3 going, and having trouble getting back to 123, I figured it was time to call the boys at Korg USA/LI.
I must say, they were more than helpful and even eager to get me running. Many phone calls and attachments later, I'm now back to 123. (Thanks guys)
They immediately put a copy of 1.3 in the mail which I am expecting, but am hesitant about loading.

Mod-7 and the new Karma features were to say the least fantastic and I want them now but I will hold off on the install and continue to follow the posts.

How do you do to come from 1.3 to 1.2.3 ?
I believed that it was impossible to downgrad to a
previous version without reauthorization ?

Thats right, you must reauth. and also go back to 1.1 to do so. Then you can move onward to what ever you choose.

Not quite ;0)

We had you go back to 1.1.0 because that's the latest 4-CD set you have access to, and going back to a previous version requires format+install from a full 4-CD set. This was the quickest way to get your OASYS functional again on a previous version with the installers you had on hand.

Technically, the actual procedure is to format+install using the most recent 4-CD set you have access to (1.1.0 or newer), and then install the major upgrades from that point forward.

Your path was 1.1.0->1.2.3.

If you had a 1.2.0 4-CD set, it would have been 1.2.0->1.2.3.

RC

No, I haven't gotten to it yet, but will. I'm hoping it doesn't have to go in for an oil change.
I haven't asked the question yet because the buttons and sliders seem to be ok.
Maybe they need to be fine tuned. I'm hoping Dan or someone with the know will chime in...

All of the front-panel controls are calibrated at the factory, and this data is stored on the hard drive. Formatting the drive erases the calibration data. For best results after formatting the drive, you should really re-calibrate. You will need to contact your national Korg distributor for more information about how to do so.

Best regards,

Dan

I never needed to install an earlier OS version of the korg oasys.
But reading the messages here my conclusion is that the shortest way is having the full cd set ( 4 cd's ) of the latest operating system, so updates are not neccesary.

The problem is that only recent oasys buyers will ( maybe ? ) have that last cd set, so advice for korg to have the two latest OS versions on-line as a full 4 cd set for their customers.

I do applaud for the idea
