from your point of view, (or better: korg could clarify on this):
EXf = adds FX presets to existing effects
or
EXf = NEW Effects plugins in the oasys ?

According to me, I really think the Exf Acronym is reserved for NEW Effects plugins in the oasys !!!!!!!!
Preset can be an additionnal way to re-use state of the art setting with built-in effects 
Now, we can hope more Exf ???????
I think the term of Exf is a real part of OPEN architecture OASYS sytem.
We got Exi : LAC-1, MOD-7 and initial CX-3 and AL-1
We have to wait a few day to have : Exs-3
The effects didn't major update, except the built-in effets of LAC-1.
For future updates, do you need additionnal effects ??
- Real Vocoder
- Convolution reverb
- Radias formant is an effect ?
- more ?

Why not virtula replicas of vintage effects: MXR Phase 100, CE1, Fuzz (various kinds of) ...........
There were rumors about something going on with IK Multimedia/Sonik Reality.......they're quite strong in that field............

.......almost one year in a public forum I read that Korg loaned an O.....
That's enough to generate a rumor, which is something that may or may not happen.
Anyway it would be great (IMHO) to have those sample libraries available in Korg format also.
