I can scan the usb device, but when i go to load it says CDD:Audio CD

However it will not show me the directories. The open and up buttons are unuasable(not highlighted). This is driving me crazy as I have followed all instructions such as turning the external drive on first then turning on Triton.

Im running version 1.05.Some please help I appreciate it.I know the drive is working because I hooked up head phones and can hear the samples being played.I wanna load the samples into the Korg. These are commercial grade original samples, not copies,Sonic Images,Uberschall etc.

Regards,Len

That's because your trying to read the Audio CD from the Data Mode.

Have a look at the manual for playing Audio CD's on your Triton.
Or check out the sampling mode for ripping and playing Audio CD's.

From what you said the Triton displayed “CDD:Audio CD”, then this is an Audio CD and you can forget about loading anything.

You can't load Audio CD's into memory. You need to rip them. This can be done from the sampling mode.

As for playing the disk in sampling mode, you need to route the Audio Buss for the L and R channels to the Triton's outputs.

You really do need to have a look at the manual. This is basic enough stuff and the manual covers in great detail.

Let's get all the easy options before we figure of harder ones:

1. Copy everything on that CD to PC and from PC to CF, insert CF in Extreme and see will Extreme read those samples from CF. If it will, OK, problem solved, if not, maybe sample data is corrupted.

2. maybe your drive isn't supported at all or Extreme can recognize ti, but cannot function with it - marking of your drive, is it highlighted or you just see it gray?
Try changing the drive.

Members on this forum had issues with external drives too, try browsing previous treads.

Regards,
shrike

It's not a Data CD, it's an Audio CD, there is nothing to copy.
He has to rip the disk.

His drive is reading the CD.
