I'm new to the Kork TR and it's been probably 10 years since I did MIDI, hence my question. Can a MIDI controller keyboard play a different sound than what is currently selected on the TR? Say I want a full piano keyboard, but also want strings or horns as an accent. I would like the TR as the piano source, and a MIDI controller to play a different sound.
I searched around in the forum messages but could not find definitive to my question
Thanks

I use an M-Audio Axiom49 atop my TR for live performance. Just use a COMBI. Have your piano sound set for Gch and then what ever other sound you want to a different MIDI channel that matches the signal sent from your controller. I usually set my controller to transmit on channel 2, but if I want to have another sound set, I can add more sounds set to channel 3 and change the channel setting on my controller to access them. You can also layer and split sounds within each channel to access multiple sounds from each keyboard. There really are endless possibilities. _________________ DEVICE - CLICK HERE!
