Hi all, I'm a newbie here, so please bear with me if I say or do something stupid. This is a great forum with lots of knowledgeable people and tons useful information - thanks!

I just bought a used Trinity and I got a sweet deal on it because it has a couple of issues that I'd like to fix. The up value button is broken and the value wheel is worn out or needs a good cleaning because it doesn't always increment properly. I'd like to remove the top cover but this beauty is built like a tank. From looking at the service manual it would seem that there's quite a bit of disassembly to be done to get at those controls. Is this right or are there some special screws that would allow me to do this?

I'm sure I'm not the first to try this so any comments would be greatly appreciated!

Yea .
You got it in one.
I have a dead Trinity I use for parts .My engineer friend says
to get to the front panel or keyboard its all boards out.
As you say this machine is built like a tank I dropped mine down
stairs and it still worked. Then one drop to many and it died.
I know careless ,not me the road crew.

Thanks Bazz!

I was afraid that that was the story. I'm pretty good at taking things apart but it's the putting back together that can be the problem so for now I'll leave well enough alone I guess.
