I am trying to assign various Korg Triton patches from within Cubase.

I can bring up the instrument list from within Cubase and assign them to various midi tracks however most of the sounds do not corrospond to the insturment list on the keyboard (very confusing when you have found the right sound on the keyboard but cannot find that sound from within Cubase).

I have assigned the insturment list using the Korg Triton Cubase midi instrument assign (Korg triton comes standard), i have also tried downloading other Korg Triton patch lists and assign them in the Cubase midi insturment assign. Same problem, most of the patches do not match the keyboard patches.

I have also searched this forum for this problem with no luck. Mad

Any suggestions of what to do would be most appreciated.

Korg Triton has different patches than Triton LE/TR - that's one thing.
The other thing is:
Global mode, pref. tab - there's a "Bank Map" option - this must be set to "KORG".

Thanks for the suggestion, I will try them tonight.

I still think the problem is the list of patches for the Triton that is within Cubase. I will continue looking for another patch list that i can import in to Cubase. ( I have looked everywhere !)

I know I've seen a Triton LE patchlist for Sonar somewhere so there should be one for cubase too Smile

I cannot figure . .

When you select from the list of patches (within Bank A, Bank B, Bank C) it does not say whether they are Programs or Combinations (beacuse banks A B C can contain either programs or combinations)

Also, they extenal keyboard (Korg triton) will not play any sound from Cubase unless it is set to Sequence mode (not programs or combinations)

I have looked up documentation on both keyboard and Cuabse and canno find?

If i had to guess, i would say that the patch list form within Cubase is just programs.

Any suggesitosn would be much appreciated.
