ok i have it working when i connect 2 midi cables between it and my soundcards built in midi interface

just doesn't seem to work with the usb connection....

and i've installed, uninstalled, reinstalled the korg usb midi driver...
but it doesn't show up as a port in cubase or anything.
and when i start the standalone editor, it seems to scan all my soundcard midi ports, my novation SL usb ports, but not the korg one.

is it possible the novation 61SL usb midi ports are conflicting with the korg driver?

Be sure to download the latest USB driver from Korg. Uninstall the current driver using Add/Remove programs before installing the new one.

After installing the USB driver, plug in the USB cable then run the "Configure KORG USB-MIDI Driver" program to confirm that it is listed on the page after you press the "Device List..." button.

Do the same uninstall/reinstall of the Editor / Plug-In Editor Software.

When you install the Editor software, only choose the editor and not the VST. Test the Editor. If it syncronizes, then you should be good to install the VST version for use in Cubase. In Cubase you'll need go to "Plug-in Information" and press the "VST 2.x plugin paths" to add the folder of the VST file to the list and press the update button. Once you see a row for Korg on the list, then you can start using the VST within Cubase. I'm basing this on Cubase AI4, which is the version I have, which I've configured for the X50. Hopefully this will be similar or identical for the MicroX, since they are so closely related.
