I'd love to have one of those. They're soooo hard to find though.
I haven't really thought about racks. Isn't that a pretty expensive option? AFAIK, aren't they only a little less than full keyboards in terms of price? |
Go for the racks that are one generation Old. ie. Triton, Roland FantomX (well wait ˝ year to buy to get price impact from fantomG), K2500 (remember to have the KDFX, those 4pole digital filters can be beat by no one!) and the Yamaha motif (not ES). You'll drown in patches:). Also look at older ones such as the JV series from Roland - the JV1080 comes for nothing and is pretty ok.
By the way - I just found a NEW triton extreme 61 eith moss for about 2500 USD _________________ Kurzweil PC1SE

Ah, that's a helpful thought, I'll check for previous generation racks (where should I look? Ebay?). Thanks for that.
Now, if I can just find my own Triton Extreme too... Or maybe I should get the Fantom G? |

I'll probably get shot for suggesting this, but what about the Alesis Fusion 8HD? It doesn't look half-bad...could save me money to buy racks and what-not. |

I've heard some demos of the Fusion and they were all pretty bad sounding
Also I've only heard bad opinions about it but I don't really know anyone who actually uses one |

Yeah, after taking a look myself, it doesn't look horribly promising - I think I might skip it. Sure has a lot of features, though....just don't seem implemented all that well. Hmm... |
