EDIT:

It does not work any other way.

on my karma there are heaps of options under utilities
that seem to have been stripped out in the micro-x os

namely... copy from prog when in multi mode (or seq on the karma)
you can copy from combi...
but i want to get a program, with all the effects set up for it

thinking about using multi mode instead of combi live

i need 2 different controller keyboards, playing different patches off the micro-x simultaniously
and then scrolling through saved multi setups live

then i dont have to overwrite any existing combi's....

or am i making things more difficult than it has to be?

(also just noticed that copy from prog is also missing in combi mode too....)

such a little thing, but saves me so much time

i forgot about the software editor... i assume that would be the easiest way to copy programs to combis/multi's

sorry if this lacks a point, i'm thinking and typing at 5 in the morning, haha

i think i'll try it after work.

What's the big deal about overwriting existing patches? Surely there are dozens that you know you will never use? I put all the programs I thought I might use in one place and it almost fills one bank [118]. Everything else can be overwritten without any issues for me. And there are only one or two combinations I might want to keep, purely as inspiration for making my own.

yeh i'm just jumping in and overwriting s**t now.

but yeh, i'm using the software editor, and i still cant see an easy way to copy from programs to a combi.

so i'm having to set up the fx section manually parameter by parameter

f'ing painful!

(specially for something simple that could be done in about 3 button presses on my karma)

I'm pretty sure that my old Trinity could do that, too. Seems strange that the microX cannot.

X50 can, are you sure that you are in the FX page when you hit the utility?

It does not work any other way.
