Grrr, the old inspiration problem Lorenzo, can be a nightmare.
Great ideas above (Jon!), just playing after a night shift seems to work sometimes. Tired, but I can manage concentrate only on the music, nothing else gets through
It's all about being in that creative zone, whatever the result, it's yours.
Here's another thought, even though you don't particularly like a piece, if you nothing else to work on, stick with it, something may develop? _________________ Chordial |

Hey Lorenzo how's it going?
What about asking the group to give you specific challenges, like saying "could you compose a dance with latin-american rhythms", or "what about some country music in the style of Mozart" ( a little joke of course), but something like that.
Maybe if some parameters are set, you will find it easier to get going.
I remember your Lord of the Rings music well. It was so good. Did it help you to be following a story/theme?

Daz made a good point - do not "try" too hard. Twist some knobs, roll a punchy groove to have some fun and you'll have a tune before you know it. |
