Hi to all great members.
After several years the joystick of my Pa80 needs replacement. I have already a brand new joystick (spare part already assembled) and i just need to open the pa80 case so as to replace it.
I have done the same to other korg keyboards i have like Triton Extreme and Trinity but as you probably know Pa80 is more complicated.
I tried to open it and i saw that both top and both covers should be removed. This is the first time i try to open the pa80 so i would like to have some advice from a user that has already done it.
What should i do in order to disassemble the covers safely? Are there any cables-wires that are attached to both covers at the same time? If yes that means that i should be very careful.
Is there a service manual or a guide that somebody could send me?
Thanks in advance

The bottom of the keyboard comes off which should give you access to the joystick. When removing the bottom cover, you will find that some of the screws are set deep in the bottom cover. You will need a long blade Phylips screwdriver. Please keep in mind that the wires to the speakers are a bit short, so make sure that those speaker wires are well connected before re-assembly Ben |

Hi Ben, thanks for your reply.
Shall i disconect those speakers wires or not?
I mean are they connected via a plug or terminal easy to be removed and then back on or they are connected with soldering iron? |

Ok i did it. It was very easy. I thought that the cover was hard to remove cuz i thought that i didn't have to unscrew the floppy drive's screws.
Some of you perhaps noticed that i have issued this topic around 7-8 times.
I am sorry but that was not my fault. I have tried to enter this post on the forum with no sucess for 7-8 times. When hitted submit an error message popped up on my screen mentioning Generic Server Error.
But as it seems the posts entered normally. Sorry for that.
Anyway if somebody needs help with Joystick replacement on Pa80 just drop me an e-mail and i will be happy to help
