I'm interested in your opinions about mix and structure in this new tune
I just finished last night.

Any critique welcome!

Dancing With You

Thanks,
Mike

EDIT: thanks for moving the post to the right place. Sorry about that! Embarassed

Sounds nice in the sonic mix but i would cut the lead sequence parts.
My personal taste tells me to divide the them a little more.
The harmonica should perheps have shorter seqences and perhaps a little more structure to it. Make it less of an improvisation is my suggestion.

You might emphasize the bass and drums for a few bars and let the harmonica / flute rest... Then build it up again with a flute sequence (or harmonica)

Otherwise it had a nice mellow vibe to it Cool

Yea I agree with Pecca. I think he is saying that there needs to be a distinctive lead melody...something we can grab and hold onto the entire song.

But it is a nice soft jazzy track. Very relaxing.
